Isabel (Rica) and Clara (Maui), two childhood friends separated by fate. Isabel is a naive provincial lass who works as an indigenous fabric weaver while Clara is the liberated city girl. Clara has gone wild after her mother runs off with another man. The two meet after years of separation when Clara returns to the barrio to visit her father, Roman (Ricky Davao). But their cultural difference further separates them as Lando (Antonio Aquitania), Isabel's boyfriend, enters into the picture. Lando, frustrated with Isabel's conservatism and idealism, turns his attention to Clara, which irked Isabel. Isabel, in turn, seduces Clara's father. Lando, after knowing the situation, attempted to kill Roman. Written by fab-one
La Orca aka The Snatch 1976.
A 16 year old schoolgirl (played convincingly by a somewhat older Rena Niehaus) is kidnapped and held for ransom. While in captivity she and one of her captors fall in love and have sex. We see lots of nudity and a pussy rubing scene which had the censors of the time threatening to label it as pornography. All this love making leads to an unexpected ending.

can easily understand why this film has been so hated, but i must say that it is at times one of the most beautiful, and at others, one of the most disturbing films i've ever seen. after seeing humanite, i walked in to the theatre with very low expectations (i'm not a dumont fan in the least), but something in the stark beauty of the photography sucked me in, i found the numb vacant space of the characters, and hook, line and sinker, fell right into dumont's trap. i doubt i would recommend this film to anyone but my closest (and most tolerant) friends, but have to say that i loved it, and thing it may also be found rewarding by other patient and adventurous viewers.
