Only 1 bowler whose average is less than 31 and only 1 bowler whose economy is less than 5. That too is ever increasing.

Fast bowlers have always been the problem for India. Shami is still the best in India but has fitness issues.
Hasta la vista, baby. I'll be back.

India needs Bhuvneshwar who can swing the ball and keep the runrate under control. Second new ball bowler has to be Shami who is a wicket taker. Mohit is a good 3rd option who can do a bit of both and has good variations. Umesh is too expensive and there aren't too many other options!

One interesting thought about the Indian batting lineup in ODIs is to have Rohit in the middle order. He can be the finisher as he can hit big towards the end and is good against spinners as well.

    So the lineup could be-

    Dhawan
    Rahane
    Kohli
    Dhoni
    Rohit
    Raina

This will let Dhoni and Kohli bat at their preferred spots while utilizing Rahane well. The only thing has Rohit has proved to be too successful at the top to tinker with his position!

In the last five years, India's best bowlers in ODIs have been Ashwin, Jadeja and Shami. None of them played in the recent series!

Ashwin's and Jadeja's stats for the last 5 years are amazingly similar-

Ashwin- 98 matches, 137 wkts, 31.35 avg, 4.82 eco, 39 SR, 1 four wkts haul, 0 five wkts haul.
Jadeja- 87 matches, 115 wkts, 31.46 avg, 4.85 eco, 38.9 SR, 4 four wkts haul, 1 five wkts haul.
Hasta la vista, baby. I'll be back.

Also Mishra has the best average (22.43) as well as economy rate (4.65) in the last 5 years. However he has only played 21 matches.
Hasta la vista, baby. I'll be back.
