Guide Lines for Posting (Youtube, Metacafe such) Streaming Videos

Hi Mb'ians

I would like to post some guidelines for posting stream videos from youtude, metacafe such sites
hope it will be useful for all.

Many of us watch streaming videos from youtube, metacafe etc..... Sometimes we would like to share those videos as links mostly. Due to connection speed or limited access you delayed your time for viewing those shared video links.

Instead you embed such streaming videos here for better watching/viewing directly like social networking sites, even with slow connections

Follow these below steps as shown

1 - Copy the video link that you want post

2 - Check the video code in the link

3 - Then post that link and code as shown as below like this

Eg: from youtube
Link refers : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1at8wo8TnEM
Code refers : youtube;1at8wo8TnEM

Eg: from metacafe
Link refers : http://www.metacafe.com/watch/852317...structoid_dlc/
Code refers : metacafe;8523177/max_payne_3_review_destructoid_dlc


4 - Now you can try yourself with out the * symbols on the below link

In youtube videos
[video*=youtube;1at8wo8TnEM]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1at8wo8TnEM[/video]

In metacafe videos

All you need is the video link, and use the video button above. Click the video button
to get dialog box to paste your video link, it will be pasted correctly automatically as
[video=youtube;1at8wo8TnEM]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1at8wo8TnEM[/video]
when you submit your reply.
edit: I have used the noparse tags, to show what is pasted, rather than the youtube video link.

Yep... like Teri said...just hit the video button and paste the link...... I've been doing this since the time MB integrated the embed feature

In the reply box, click the icon looking like a film strip to get the dialog box.
if you are icon and dialog box challenged (or server is acting up!), just put plain video tags around the url
[video=youtube;1at8wo8TnEM]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1at8wo8TnEM[/video]
and post the reply. Once it is posted, click on edit post, you will find that, the plain video tags have miraculously changed into the correct format as given by you.
